The Advanced Center for Enabling Social Enterprise (ACESE) is a new initiative by DHAN Foundation aimed at uplifting small and marginal producers in agriculture and other sectors to increase their income. The centre focuses on innovation management, knowledge management, and dissemination through various activities:
Incubation of Producer Institutions :
- Establishing institutional structures and self-governance mechanisms.
- Providing access to credit for production and marketing.
- Enhancing production through a sustainable ecosystem.
- Facilitating collective marketing efforts.
Start-up School for Capacity Building :
- Conducting programs for directors, CEOs, and facilitators of producer institutions.
- Focus on livelihood model analysis, feasibility studies, market trends, and action research.
- Training on institution building, legal compliance, accounting, marketing strategies, and business planning.
- Online and offline courses for social enterprises and related institutions.
Documentation and Dissemination :
- Conducting micro studies and research on producer institutions.
- Developing dissemination materials and policy briefs for advocacy.
- Creating platforms for stakeholders and providing innovation awards.
- Documentation of processes and procedures, releasing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and offering resources for small-scale start-ups.
Through these initiatives, ACESE aims to support the development of sustainable livelihoods and promote the economic enhancement of producers.
