Training to Board of Directors

Jeevidam's Two-Day Capacity Building Programme

In February 2024, Jeevidam conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme exclusively designed for the Board of Directors (BODs) from diverse regions. This comprehensive training aimed at equipping BODs with essential knowledge and skills in key areas such as DHAN Foundation, Jeevidam Programme, Ethical Leadership, and Marketing Strategies.

Programme Objectives :

Overview of Institutional Structure and Jeevidam Programme : Participants gained insights into the foundational aspects of Jeevidam, including its institutional structure and core program components.

Ethical Leadership and Roles of BODs : Emphasis was placed on enabling BODs to understand their roles and responsibilities with a focus on ethical leadership.

Strengthening PPG Groups, Committees, and Clusters : The programme aimed at reinforcing the collaborative strength of PPG Groups, Committees, and Clusters within Jeevidam FPOs.

Operational Guidelines for Effective Management : Practical guidelines were provided for effective human resource management, fund management, and governance within the FPOs.

Programme Highlights :

Diverse Participation : Out of 54 new Jeevidam FPOs, 42 were shortlisted and organized into 5 batches based on their regions and districts. Each group consisted of an average of 40-45 directors and was facilitated by 8-9 resource persons over the two-day training.

Day One Focus : The first day delved into essential topics such as an in-depth understanding of the institution (DHAN, Jeevidam), exploration of Jeevidam PPG Groups, Clusters, and detailed insights into the roles and responsibilities of the BODs.

Day Two Themes : The second day shifted the focus towards cultivating Ethical Leadership, exploring Marketing Strategies, understanding Consumer Mutual and Prosumer concepts, and concluding with an Action Plan for practical implementation.

This training enhanced the knowledge base of the BODs and also fostered a sense of unity, shared purpose, and ethical leadership, ensuring that they are well-equipped to guide and lead their respective FPOs effectively.
