Ilayankudi Vayalaga Jeevidam achieved a business activity of Paddy Procurement and marketing through the Electronic National Agriculture Market (E-NAM) platform. The FPO strategically selected seven farmers from Valasaikadu village to kick start the procurement business.
E-NAM Procurement : The FPO efficiently conducted the paddy procurement business through the E-NAM platform, leveraging digital tools for seamless transactions.
Quantitative Success : A total of 378 bags of paddy, weighing 66.200 kilograms each, were procured, amounting to an impressive 25 tonnes of procurement.
Farmers' Benefit : The FPO ensured that farmers reaped the benefits of this initiative by providing them with an additional Rs. 30 for each bag procured. This translated into a substantial financial advantage for the local farmers.
Strategic Pricing : While the local rate for paddy bags (66.200 Kg) ranged from Rs. 1270 to 1280/-, Ilayankudi Vayalaga Jeevidam implemented a strategic pricing approach by procuring at the rate of Rs. 1300/- per bag. This decision resulted in an extra benefit of Rs. 20 to 30/- per bag for the farmers.
Total Transaction Value : The successful paddy procurement venture amounted to a total transaction value of Rs. 5,10,300/-, further reinforcing the economic impact of the initiative.
