The Thanjavur Regional Team of DHAN Foundation organized a one-day Policy seminar on "Consumer Mutuals" on June 12, 2024, at Sri Besant Lodge, Thanjavur. This event brought together key stakeholders to share insights and strategies for implementing and benefiting from the Consumer Mutuals concept.
Jeevidam Limited officials actively participated in the workshop. They shared their valuable experiences and successful stories related to Consumer Mutuals, offering practical knowledge and inspiration to the attendees.
Ms. Pandimeena, the Regional Coordinator of DHAN Foundation's Thanjavur Region, facilitated the entire program. She presented the journey of Jeevidam in the Thanjavur Region, highlighting significant milestones achieved by the Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) in the Region.
Mr. Karthikeyan, Jeevidam's Regional Coordinator, led the sub-group discussions. Leaders from various federations were divided into sub-groups to deliberate on challenges faced in implementing Consumer Mutuals and to develop strategies for achieving a good turnover through this model.
The workshop provided a platform for sharing knowledge, addressing challenges, and formulating effective strategies to enhance the success of Consumer Mutuals among FPCs in the region.
