Ilayankudi Jeevidam Farmers Producer Company Limited recently executed a large-scale distribution of high-yielding paddy seeds to its members, providing five carefully selected varieties that are projected to increase crop yield by an additional 2–3 bags per member. This increase in productivity is expected to generate approximately Rs. 2,500 in additional income for each member, reinforcing the FPO’s dedication to enhancing member profitability through quality inputs.

To further ease the burden on farmers, the FPO organized direct delivery to members' farm gates, saving each farmer an estimated Rs. 200 in transportation costs. This efficient distribution model not only supports farmers to reduce their expenses but also simplifies the process by making more accessible to high-quality inputs.

Through this initiative, Ilayankudi Jeevidam FPO achieved a notable business turnover of Rs. 11,67,805 by distributing 1,018 bags of seeds, amounting to 23 tonnes. This success underscores the FPO’s role as a vital service provider, supporting both the financial growth of its members and its own sustainability through effective input distribution.
