Keerapalayam Neithal Jeevidam 10K Farmers Producer Company Limited recently conducted an intensive training session focused on enhancing productivity in blackgram cultivation. With 35 local farmers in attendance, the training provided valuable insights and hands-on knowledge aimed at improving yields and overall crop health. The session was led by experienced officials from the Department of Agriculture, who shared critical expertise tailored to the unique challenges of blackgram farming in the region.

Ilayankudi Jeevidam Farmers Producer Company Limited recently executed a large-scale distribution of high-yielding paddy seeds to its members, providing five carefully selected varieties that are projected to increase crop yield by an additional 2–3 bags per member. This increase in productivity is expected to generate approximately Rs. 2,500 in additional income for each member, reinforcing the FPO’s dedication to enhancing member profitability through quality inputs.

This quarter (from July to September 24), the Thirupathur Vayalaga Jeevidam Farmers Producer Company Limited took significant steps to promote sustainable agriculture in the community. In Ovalipatti village, the FPO empowered 24 farmers to cultivate Barnyard millets by organizing awareness programs and training sessions. These sessions highlighted the nutritional benefits, market potential, and cost-effectiveness of Barnyard millets, motivating the farmers to cultivate this crop.

Jeevidam Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs) participated in a three-day FPO Mela held from July 26th to 29th, 2024 in Tirunelveli and Salem. Organized jointly by NABARD, SFAC, and ONDC, this event provided a platform for FPOs to showcase their products, engage with other stakeholders, and explore new market linkages. Each Jeevidam FPO presented its unique regional products, reflecting the diversity and quality of their agricultural outputs.
