The Vathalagundu Farmers Producer 10K Farmers Producer Company Limited, promoted by Jeevidam Limited CBBO under the CSS 10K scheme by SFAC, New Delhi, was established in 2022 in the Batlagundu Block of Dindigul District. This FPO aims to empower local farmers by providing them with a reliable source of quality cattle feed, thereby improving milk production and enhancing their livelihoods through agriculture allied activities.

Key achievements of the FPO include the enrollment of 1000 shareholders and the establishment of a strong governance system, with the Board of Directors (BOD) meeting regularly to take critical decisions for the FPO’s growth. A significant milestone is the successful installation of a cattle feed processing unit, capable of producing and supplying 2000 bags (50kg each) of cattle feed monthly.

The impact on the local community has been profound. Farmers now have access to urea-free, chemical-free and adulterant free cattle feed, which has contributed to increased milk production and higher incomes for the shareholding farmers.
