During October and November 2024, Jeevidam institutions across 16 districts under the DHAN Collective actively participated in the Diwali Consumer Mutuals initiative. Together, they generated an impressive business turnover of ₹13 crores, demonstrating the power of collective action and community-based enterprise
As part of this initiative, various Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) sourced groceries, paddy, and cooking oils from fellow FPOs and trusted local vendors. The entire procurement and distribution process was facilitated with the active involvement of Board of Directors and Joint Secretaries from the respective Mother Federations, ensuring transparency and local ownership.
The products were neatly packed in eco-friendly materials and distributed as festive combo packages, each worth ₹1,000, reaching thousands of member households. This initiative not only celebrated the spirit of Diwali but also strengthened inter-FPO trade, boosted rural livelihoods, and reinforced the values of self-reliance and mutual support.
