On 14th November 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Veterinary University Training and Research Centre (VUTRC), Nagapattinam and Gram Dukan—the farmer retail outlet jointly managed by Vedharanyam Vattara Kalanjiam and Thalainayaru Neithal Jeevidam Farmers Producer Company Limited.
As per the agreement, Gram Dukan will procure supplemental cattle feed blocks directly from VUTRC and make them available to FPO member farmers at a cost-effective price. This initiative is expected to enhance livestock nutrition and support dairy farmers in the region.
