On 23rd December 2024, Pavagada Farmers Producer Company Limited (FPCL) organized a Farmers' Day event, during which a special training session on Sustainable Sericulture was conducted by the Department of Sericulture, Pavagada.
The session was led by Mr. Jagannath, Sericulture Officer, who served as the resource person. He provided detailed insights into the various entitlements, schemes, and subsidies available for sericulture farmers under the department’s plans for the year 2025–26. The training aimed to raise awareness and encourage farmers to adopt sustainable practices while taking advantage of government support.
This initiative is expected to enhance income opportunities and promote environmentally responsible sericulture practices among member farmers.
