As we conclude the final quarter of 2025, this edition reflects Jeevidam’s continued efforts to strengthen Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) through better infrastructure, diversified livelihoods, and stronger market connections. Across locations, the focus has been on helping farmers move beyond production towards sustainable income and enterprise-led growth.
This issue highlights the growing importance of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), which is enabling FPOs to invest in storage, processing, and value addition. By combining AIF with other schemes and using the moratorium period effectively, FPOs are reducing risk and building long-term business capacity.
On the ground, innovation is making a real difference. Chilli farmers adopting improved planting methods have reduced labour costs, women-led tailoring units have created steady non-farm incomes, and FPOs are exploring new opportunities such as beekeeping, mushroom cultivation, moringa exports, and aquaculture.
The Diwali 2025 season stood out as a major success, with Consumer Mutuals recording high turnovers through grocery kit distribution. Several FPOs demonstrated strong coordination and market readiness, showing how collective action can meet large-scale demand efficiently.
We are especially proud of the Shivaganga Honey Bee Producer Company, whose work received national recognition in the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Mann ki Baat. This achievement reflects the power of simple ideas, strong institutions, and community participation.
As we move into 2026, we invite FPO leaders and partners to use the learnings from this edition to plan confidently, strengthen businesses, and expand market reach. Jeevidam remains committed to connecting policy, enterprise, and people for inclusive rural growth.
